Community outreach brings environmental education directly to communities in Namibia. It aims to provide knowledge and equip people with skills to protect their local environment within their own communities.

• To improve access to environmental education
• To increase sustainable living technologies usage in Namibia

Past Outreach Programmes
In 2011 NaDEET piloted outreach programmes to reach other parts of the country. To date these programmes have been conducted in the Hardap Region and the Kavango East Region. The outreach programmes have ranged from tree planting to solar cooking workshops to school- based environmental education activities. From 2013-2016 NaDEET implemented a three-year intensive outreach programme to the Hardap Region communities of Rietoog, Uibes and Gochas.
