Sewing for Sustainability
How are your sewing skills? Adult participants from the four community groups hosted at the Centre this past month tested their skills. Part of the programme requires participants to make their own solar cooker covers for the parabolic solar cookers they hope to get through our "learn to earn" programme. NaDEET likes to do things a bit different to get people to critically reflect on their lifestyles. This includes gender equality when it comes to traditional "household jobs" like sewing.
