ESD for all- from Paris to Ondangwa

Viktoria Keding participated in the 2nd meeting of the Key Partners of the UNESCO Global Action Programme in Paris. Here the agenda is about upscaling and accelerating Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) around the world.  How can we ignite global action?

During the same week, Viktoria Endjala addressed an audience of 300 + teachers, inspectors and government officials in Namibia at the Onyaanya Circuit Teacher’s Conference. Her message was clear. To reach the Sustainable Development Goals, we need to make ESD a part of every classroom nationwide. Field trips to a place like NaDEET Centre, as a working model of sustainability, spurs responsible environmental behaviour.

Pictured with Martin Namutenya, Principal of the Okalumbu Combined School and co-organiser of the conference, Viktoria saw first-hand how one dedicated individual can spur a school, community and region to sustainability!
